Ingredients

(16-oz.) pkg. dried yellow split peas

cups diced cooked ham

carrots, diced
1/2
cup finely chopped onion
1
tablespoon chicken-flavor instant bouillon
1
teaspoon celery salt
1
teaspoon dry mustard
1/2
teaspoon hot pepper sauce
6
cups boiling water

Directions

  1. 1 Sort peas. Rinse well; drain. In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, combine all ingredients; mix well.
  2. 2 Cover; cook on high setting for 1 hour.
  3. 3 Reduce heat to low setting; cook an additional 3 to 4 hours or until peas are very soft.
