(3/4-lb.) acorn squash
1/4
cup water
1/4
cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4
cup margarine or butter, melted
3
tablespoons dry sherry or apple juice
1 1/2
teaspoons ginger
1/4
teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. 1 Cut squash in half crosswise; remove seeds and membranes.
  2. 2 Pour water into 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. Place squash halves, cut sides up, in slow cooker. If necessary, stack squash halves in slow cooker so they fit. In small bowl, combine all remaining ingredients; mix well. Spoon into squash halves.
  3. 3 Cover; cook on high setting for 3 to 4 hours.
