Ingredients

2 - Pillsbury® Refrigerated Sugar Cookie Dough 16.5 oz roll
½ cup sugar
1
T Orange Zest (reserve 1 tsp.)
1
T Grated Fresh Ginger (reserve 1 tsp.)
One bag Ghiradelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate Chips

Directions

  • 1 Mix together 2 tsp. orange zest , 2 tsp. fresh ginger with ½ cup sugar in wide bottom bowl.
  • 2 Slice sugar cookies in ½ inch slices and put one side down in sugar mixture. Press down and transfer sugar side up onto cookie sheet. Bake according to package directions.
  • 3 Melt chocolate in double boiler, when melted add remaining 1 tsp. orange zest and 1 tsp. ginger. Drizzle warm chocolate over cooled cookies.
  • 4 Cool completely before storing.

Fresh ginger REALLY sets this dish off, candied ginger won't give it the same spice
