I've made something similar to these for years. I called them UFO's, made choc chip cookie recipe with no choc chips, but this is way easier and then reeses inside, then I frost with Pillsbury milk choc icing and sprinkle chopped peanuts on top.

I made these for a church get together and they were a huge hit! They were super good and very easy to make. I've made them since then and will definately make them again!

I used mini-mini Reese's and made 24 normal size cookies, instead of 12 big cookies. Turned out so great!

I always melt chips in a sandwich bag in the microwave. I agree short time and then flip the bag and short time again until all melted. Snip the corner and drizzle with very easy cleanup!

Cindylee63, your chocolate will be grainy if there is ANY water that gets into it. The microwave is best and make sure your bowl/utensils are completely dry. I use 50% power and stop and stir often. More shortening will thin it out so it will drizzle better.

Don't waste time melting chips on stove. Use the microwave or a doubleboiler.

Easy to make, excellent taste, but....you might want to give some directions on how to melt chocolate chips! I tried the first time with shortening, they were grainy and never got smooth. The next time I started at "low" temp. but the same thing happened. So resorted to the microwave the 3rd time and it worked. I could never get it to "drizzle" though, mostly glob. More shortening?????? Need some help.
