  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (2 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic-pepper blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 onion buns, split
  • 4 slices tomato
  • Additional crumbled blue cheese, if desired

Steps

  • 2
Place patties on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 11 to 13 minutes, turning once, until thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160°F. If desired, toast buns, cut sides down, on grill during last 1 to 2 minutes of cooking.
  • 3
Place patties on bottoms of buns. Top with tomato slices and additional blue cheese. Top with tops of buns.

  • If you're not a fan of blue cheese, substitute crumbled feta.
  • Grapes or other fresh fruits are a tasty side dish for the burgers.
