Garlic and Herb Oven-Fried Chicken

Ingredients

cup unseasoned dry bread crumbs
1/4
cup finely chopped fresh parsley

(.75-oz.) pkg. dry garlic-herb salad dressing mix

cup buttermilk

to 3 1/2 lb. cut-up frying chicken

tablespoons margarine or butter, melted

Directions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 400°F. In medium bowl, combine bread crumbs, parsley and salad dressing mix; mix well.
  2. 2 Place buttermilk in shallow bowl. Dip chicken pieces in buttermilk; coat with crumb mixture. Place chicken, skin side up, in ungreased 13x9-inch pan. Drizzle margarine evenly over chicken.
  3. 3 Bake at 400°F. for 50 to 55 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender and juices run clear.
