I fried up some bacon ahead of time and crushed them, then i added the bacon bits into to the spinanch mix, and it turned out yummy! I too would leave out the garlic salt, since the bacon is alreay salty enough.

The first time I made this appetizer it was a HUGE hit! I put it out on the table and it was gone within the first 10 minutes. I was asked to make to again 4x after that for my friends and parties they were attending. I like to switch things up a little everytime I make it so I add ingridents that the recipe didn't call for. I also used garlic powder instead of garlic salt and a few times I even used a garlic seasoning that I purchased at a Food Tasting party. Although it does take some time to prepare,it is well worth it in the end!

These were a big hit with our friends!! I would use garlic powder instead of garlic salt next time. They were time consuming, but worth the effort! Everyone wanted the recipe, so you know that's a good sign!

As everyone said, it is time consuming. They went very quickly!! I liked the suggestion of pepperoni, I was thinking of making my spinach and artichoke dip to go on the inside ... YUM. They definitely could be made with a variety of fillings.

Very tasty, but time consuming to make all those little balls and it got messy! But it was worth it. Almost don't even need the sauce on the side!

Could you seal the seams of the crescent dough and cut rounds from the dough, stuff and make balls??

I changed a few steps in the recipe and took a great recipe to an amazing recipe. I used butter crescent rolls and added the garlic salt and butter to the spinach mixture along with dehydrated onions (to taste) and an italian blend (pizza) cheese instead of mozzarella. My boyfriend now thinks that I am Superwoman :^)

Has anyone tried this recipe with diced pepperoni? I love spinach and pepperoni together but I haven't tried the recipe so I don't know if this would work...Any suggestions?

After cutting the individual pieces in 1/2 I rolled them into a ball, sprayed Pam on my cutting board and flattened the balls on the board. I could do more than one ball at a time, which saved me alot of time. The flattened dough was more uniform this way as well.
