This is partly my fault that I didnt care for it because my jello was not set enough. My dessert looked more like melted ice cream. I would have tried again at another time, but it was also lacking flavor :-(

This is awesome! I substituted fresh chopped Bing cherries for the strawberries since I went cherry picking yesterday. I also used Cool Whip Lite and sugar free JELL-O. I only used 2/3 cup of boiling water and more ice and less cold water to make only 1 cup of cold water. It will thicken within minutes as you stir in the ice cube/water mixture. Be ready to remove the unmelted ice cubes. I only let it sit in the refrigerator for the time it took to chop the cherries, a few minutes. Then I carefully folded in the Cool Whip and the chopped cherries. After only a few more minutes in the refrigerator I had to eat some, and then some more. I hope there will be some left for dinner because I can't stop eating it.

This is a terrific recipe my grandmother use to make something similar when we were kids. She use orange jello and bananas. It really brings back memories and its so easy to make!
