I have made these multiple times for parties and they were always a great hit.

They were delicious and as easy as...well....er....pie? Anyhow, our neighbor had given us homemade Irish Cream for Christmas, which I'd stuck in the refrigerator and completely forgotton about, so when I saw this recipe, I remembered that I had it languishing on top of the turnips and used it for the brownies. I added LOTS of Irish Cream to the icing. Yummy! Rave reviews all 'round.

These were delicious! I made a few tweaks...I used two boxes of brownie mix (Ghirardelli, sorry Pillsbury) and replaced the water with irish cream for one box and the oil with irish cream in the other. For the frosting, I used a half stick of butter and two blocks of cream cheese with 1.5 pounds of powdered sugar. I splashed in some irish cream for flavor (1-2 tbsp) I was too hungry to mess with the glaze, but did sprinkle some green sugar on top for St. Patrick's Day. Not sure about the recommended serving size (nowhere near 48) Although I never eat just a 1/2 cup of ice cream either ;)

I made this recipe last night and the frosting was very sweet. I followed the suggestion of mixing the frosting ingredients separately. If you don't mix separately, you'll have a grainy frosting.I was disappointed in this recipe because we enjoy Irish Cream. Will not be making this recipe again.

I found that the frosting did not come out unless I mixed each ingredient separately. Also I did find the frosting on the overly sweet and rich for my liking. Otherwise, I would make this recipe again.

This frosting would also be excellent on chocolate cake. This is a nice adult brownie recipe. Because it is made with Irish Cream, it is better than regular plain frosted brownies. Fancy enough to bring to the office Christmas party.
