This is similar to what I make. I had never made salsa until last year when my new husband and I had an abundance of produce from the garden. He and I both loved salsa, so I decided to try to make some. Armed with a knife and my slap chopper from Pampered Chef, I cut up fresh tomatoes, and chopped up fresh green peppers, fresh banana peppers, fresh jalapenos, and fresh red onion from the garden. I chopped up some fresh garlic and a little Vidalia onion, mixed all of those veggies together in a bowl along with some lime juice, salt, cumin, pepper, oregano, basil, and bay leaves. When I was done

I really liked the taste of the salsa. I like eating it with chips and also on everything, beans, salad it goes great with burgers.

I used the entire chile. I think next time I'll use 1/2. I like the idea of adding black beans to this recipe. Either way it was good and my family liked it too!

This recipe is easy, but to me it's missing 1 ingredient. Black beans. The salsa as is, leaves you hungrey. Adding the black beans gives you fiber, gives you energy and satisfaction that you just enjoyed a healthy snack.

Easy and good. I love fresh salsa and the lemon and lime juices really brighten up the flavors. Love it.

IT WAS A LOT BETTER AND MORE TRADITIONAL WITH THE BELL PEPPER OMITTED!!!
