I find this recipe to be silly. If you leave out the chicken helper and the hot water you will still have alfredo. Alfredo is fairly easy to make w very few ingredients. Why did they complicate it?

Pillsbury is going to promote their own products on their own recipe website. Make sense? Does to me. If you don't like their products because they aren't "healthy" or low cal enough or whatever enough, then modify the recipe to fit your needs or if you aren't capable of that, then go to a different website that does fit your needs. That being said, I like anything with spinach in it!

I agree it could be healthier but I keep a box of Helper in the pantry for emergencies. I made tonight and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I omitted the mushrooms since my husband can't stand them. I also added the spinach after removing the pan from heat and let them "cook" during the 5 min. standing time. My family hates overcooked veggies and the spinach in the pan that long would be limp and tasteless.

This is a tasty product which is very versatile. Although is is quite salty. The ingredients are available on-line, just google Chicken Helper Alfredo.
