I made this dessert for a Christmas Eve dinner. EVERYONE loved it. I replaced the dried cherries with fresh raspberries and blueberries. In the summer I will add peaches. I also made it in a 9" glass pie dish. Looked beautiful in it. So easy to make. This will be a repeat recipe for me.

This is a great recipe! For those who don't care for nuts or cherries, I omit one or either. I like the apple, spice & corn starch combination so much, I've used it successfully for apple pie, reducing the liquid appropriately for great pie consistency.

I cook with dutch oven (outside). The ingedients almost same, BUT; First cook Br.Sugar, butter, apples in open pot--then dump a mixed cakemix (spice is good) onto the fruit, put on the lid and bake the cake (top heat). Also use dried cranberries and raisons instead of cherries. Never any leftovers!!

i think i would use my own recipes using stuff i usually have around the kitchen in lieu of this because it calls for biscuits that i would have to buy extra to make this receipe.

Sounds wonderful. I'm going to subsitute Splenda for the sugar and add a little apple juice to keep it from being dry. My family likes cobbler juicy

To dry. Cobbler should have more juice to it.
