Ingredients

cups chopped apples (your choice of apple)

cups sugar

eggs
1
cup cooking oil
1
cup pecans ( or nut of your choice, ie; walnuts)
2 1/2
cups plain flour (all purpose)

tsps soda
2
tsp salt
1
tsp cinnamon

  • 1 Pour sugar over apples and set aside until later.
  • 2 Beat egg whites until stiff. Add egg yolks to whites and stir.
  • 3 Add 1 cup of oil to egg mixture, beat well and let stand.
  • 4 Mix together: pecans, flour, soda, salt and cinnamon.
  • 5 Pour egg mixture over apples, then add dry ingredients. Stir with spoon.
  • 6 Pour into greased tube or bundt pan; bake one hour or until done @ 350 degrees.
  • 7 Makes a dark cake with a brown crust.

I strongly suggest that you let this cake cool completely before removing from pan.
