slices fried bacon finely diced
30 to 45 fresh baby spinach leaves

oz cream cheese room temperature
1/4
lbs unsalted butter room temperature

tablespoons garlic powder
1/2
teaspoon oregano
1/4
teaspoon basil
1/4
teaspoon dill
1/4
teaspoon marjoram
1/2
freshly ground black pepper
pinch salt

  • 1 Mix cream cheese, butter, garlic powder, oregano, basil, dill, marjoram, pepper and salt with hand mixer.
  • 2 Cover and Chill
  • 3 Preheat oven to 350.
  • 4 Spray two baking sheets with non-stick cooking spray.
  • 5 Unroll two packages of dough into 4 long rectangles.
  • 6 Firmly press perforations to seal.
  • 7 Spread rectangles with room temperature herbed cream cheese within 1/4 inch of edges.
  • 8 Sprinkle with bacon.
  • 9 Top with spinach leaves.
  • 10 Starting at long end of rectangle roll up each rectangle press edges to seal.
  • 11 With sharp serrated knife cut each rectangle into 8 slices.
  • 12 Place cut side down on prepared cookie sheet.
  • 13 Bake 12 - 18 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 14 Remove from cookie sheet immediately and serve warm.

You can also serve the herbed garlic cheese spread at room temperature with crudites, crackers, bagel chips, and thin toasted bread slices. Diced cooked ham or cooked crumbled sausage can be used instead of bacon.
