Fettuccine with Beef and Peppers

(9-oz.) pkg. refrigerated fettuccine

lb. lean ground beef

green bell pepper, cut into thin bite-sized strips

red bell pepper, cut into thin bite-sized strips

cup half-and-half
1/3
cup purchased pesto
1/2
teaspoon salt
1/8
teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. 1 Cook fettuccine to desired doneness as directed on package. Drain; cover to keep warm.
  2. 2 Meanwhile, brown ground beef in large skillet over medium-high heat until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.
  3. 3 Add bell peppers; cook and stir 4 to 6 minutes or until peppers are crisp-tender.
  4. 4 Add half-and-half, pesto, salt, pepper and cooked fettuccine. Reduce heat to medium; cook and stir 3 to 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.
