Easy Weeknight Chicken Cordon Bleu

boneless skinless chicken breasts

tablespoon butter

pouch (9 oz) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ creamy roasted garlic with chicken stock cooking sauce
4
slices Swiss cheese
4
slices deli ham
Cooked pasta or rice

Directions

  1. 1 Sprinkle chicken with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
  2. 2 In 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook chicken in butter about 8 minutes, turning once, until browned.
  3. 3 Add cooking sauce to skillet. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until juice of chicken is clear when center of thickest part is cut (at least 165°F).
  4. 4 Top each piece of chicken with sliced cheese and ham. Cover; remove from heat. Let stand 2 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with pasta.
