New Cook here! So, I don't need to brown the beef or anything BEFORE I put in the slow cooker? Just want to make sure.. I'm b eing counted on for Sunday dinner tomorrow, don't want to mess it up! Thank you!

People think this is delicious, but did you see it has 990mg of sodium in just one serving? That is a huge amount. If you over 51 years old, your recommended daily amount is no more than 1,500mg. Excess salt in the diet contributes to all kinds of bad stuff. You need to read the labels for your health's sake.

This was very good but I made a few changes. I just used a roast and added potatoes, onions and golden mushroom soup. Yum Yum.

This was very good! I made a couple of changes though since I hate mushrooms and mushroom soup. I used cream of chicken soup and doubled up on the carrots.

Made this for my boyfriend and his day on a "football sunday" and they both went crazy for it. Very easy to make, plus the shorter cooking time of 5 hours made it perfect. I served the meat on top of a pile of mashed potatoes and smother the whole stack in the sauce. I've already been requested to make this one again!

I made this and it was awesome. Sometimes my roast come out dry, I will start using the 3 main ingredients a can of mushrooms undrained, a can of cream of mushroom soup, and a couple of tsp of onion soup mix. It makes a Wonderful gravy. Yum thanks for this recipe.
