made this recipe for Thanksgiving 2010. Did it in crockpot and the chutney and the juice made a very good sauce for the ham. Someone said it tasted like sorgum. I used a chutney with pineapple and found it in the dept of Foreign Foods at Smittys in Jopln, Mo. The next time I will make my own chutney. Hope that will be less expensive, but if not, definately will make this again.

Who makes the fruit chutney found in this recipe? I could not find anything on my grocery shelves. Small town problems.

I agree with Kraftychica. If you're not allergic to peaches, the dried peaches would be the next best match. Otherwise, the mango would be fantastic with ham as it's found in some chutneys. Cranberries would add some nice contrasting tartness. I think raisins would be good, too. Happy Easter!

Kraftychica - you could dried peaches or cranberries or mangos...all those sound good to me or you could use pineapple too. Hope this helps

I'm allergic to Apricots, any ideas for a substitution I could try?
