Ingredients

1: box carrot cake mix

3/4: cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)

1/4: cup butter or margarine, melted

1: egg

1: container cream cheese frosting

36: candy pumpkins

Directions

1 Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, mix cake mix, pumpkin, butter and egg; stir until well blended. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
2 Bake 11 to 14 minutes or until puffed and set in center. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
3 Frost cookies with cream cheese frosting. Press 1 candy pumpkin onto each cookie. Store covered.

1.These are like little cakes not the consistency of cookies. 2. If I make them again I will try the recipe with spice cake rather than carrot cake. 3. They were super easy to make and all the guests loved them.

Made these as cupcakes like one of the posts suggested to do. They were great, and I got many compliments on them. I will definitely make them again.

Not sure what went wrong, but these are not cookies. I'm sure they'd be great as cupcakes though. It's basically a cake in cookie form. I won't make these again.

These pumpkin cookies are the best!! So easy. I used extra pumpkin. My sons loves pumpkin pie and I thought maybe I'd try these to see what he thought. He loved them without the frosting.
