I decided to use seasoned taco meat instead of plain ground beef. I also used pinto beans instead of red kidney beans as I don't like kidney beans. This meal was FANTASTIC!!!! I loved it and it was easy and I will definitely make this again.

So easy my six year made it (with supervision)! Because she loves to keep mixing/adding things, we put in some garlic and onion powder which helped boost the flavor. My husband added some hot-sauce to his servings and he was happy with it. Glad to have a different twist on the standard taco-like fare that the entire family will eat!

This was an easy recipe, but it didn't have much flavor. I tried increasing the chili powder, but that didn't do much. I would maybe use a packet of taco seasoning instead of just chili powder, maybe that might give it a little more kick. We also used mexican/taco flavored cheese, and that helped a little too. If you're making this for a family and it's the only thing you're eating, definitely double it if anyone will want to go back for seconds. I made this for my family of four, and there wasn't any extra left. I made spanish rice to go on the side and that helped fill everybody up more.
