Fry couple pieces of bacon, set aside, pour bacon dripping in with green beans, add finely dices onion and black pepper to taste. Cook liquid out. Boil 2 eggs, dice and add to mushroom soup, crumble bacon into this mixture. Layer green beans and mushroom soup mixture. Crumble waverly crackers, add melted butter to crackers. Top your green bean casserole with crackers. Place back in oven long enough to brown crackers slightly. Much better than the normal green bean casserole.

I substitute cream of asparagus for the cream of mushroom since nobody in my household will eat the mushroom. Delicious!

This dish is one that helps complete the Thanksgiving table. My kids even notice if it''s not there. If I can get them to eat a vegetable I''m all for it. We like a light sprinkling of Cheddar cheese and seasoned to taste, makes them come back for seconds. :)

We always have this recipe for the holidays. Everyone loves it. Also, very easy and can be made the day ahead to let the flavors marinate.

Who doesn''t love this recipe? Wonderful, fantabulous, yum, yum, yummmy to the tummy. I actually get the big can of the onions and dump almost all on top and then mix into the beans, then I dump the remaining from the can on top.
