I made this for the first time yesterday. I brought it for a memorial day party with my family and everyone loved it1 My brother in law told me it was his favorite dessert that I have ever made and brought over and said that I have to have this with me whenever I come over again. Making the crust was a little difficult for me and when I tried to cut it into squares after I chilled it some of the pieces broke up. But it was a hit!!

This is a great recipe. Try making it with chocolate chip cookie dough rather than sugar cookie. It's a favorite in our family. Top with kiwi, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, mandarin oranges...any type of fruit.

A girlfriend makes this recipe but uses 8 oz of cream cheese mixed with one jar of MarshMallow Creme. Then uses a variety of fruits & berries. SUPER EASY and delicious.

It doesn't look like pizza, but I like to do mine in an oblong pan. After the cream cheese is spread, I cut it into squares then place the fruit on each square. Especially if it is for a baby/wedding shower...makes more and easy to serve - not too big of pieces. Also, this way each square has all of the fruit items. DS

I use the Marzetti Cream Cheese Fruit Dip to replace making the cream cheese filling. It tastes the same and cuts the prep time so making this is a snap. I also make mine in a ceramic fluted quiche dish (sprayed with Butter Pam) for a more elegant presentation.

Normally I make the cookie myself so I can incorporate lower sugar alternatives and organic products. I like to use Organic Greek Yogurt instead of the cream cheese, I put it in a food processor with small amounts of Truvia (great for those who have sugar related issues). I use any fruit, from strawberries to watermellon and candied ginger. Always a great treat for myself, I have a piece and give the rest away! I have also made this with dehydrated spinach and kale on top for my health food nut friends and myself, that lil crunchiness is so yummy. Really a easy use what you have treat.

Cream cheese frosting works great for this too. It can be substituted for the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla.

I made this recipe on Friday and it was delicious. Had my husband's family over and every one loved it. I used strawberries, kiwis, and blueberries. I also just used the bottom of a boiler pan and formed the round shape for the dough and it came out fine in stead of using the pizza pan since I didn't have one. I skipped the apple jelly but still tasted great. What I loved about it is that it was so easy to make. This is a desert that I can do with no problem after work because it takes barely no time or effort!!
