I love cherry cheese cake so I added drops of cream cheese mixed with a little sugar and vanilla on top with the cherries. My family loved them! So yummy!

I have been making this recipe for years! So many in fact, that I've lost the recipe. My daughter called today asking for it...so thank goodness I was able to locate it on your site. Quick and easy. Slightly messy to eat, but delicious! Don't make the mistake of using an entire can of pie filling. Any nuts you may have on hand work, too.

I added 1/4 tsp. almond extract to the frosting. It made a big difference in the coffee cake - made it taste more homemade.
