I should mention that when I made this recipe I substituted diced Italian tomatoes instead of salsa. So good.

I made this recipe for the first time tonight for my family of 6 & we all LOVED it! My kids aren't big on casserole type dishes but raved about this one! Thanks.

Not too excited about this recipe. The kids didn't care for it. Different taste with the cheddar cheese soup and the salsa mixed together. Makes the sauce almost too thick. Probably won't make it again.

This is a really great recipe especially when your tired and you don't want to spend so much time in the kitchen cooking. The only changes I recommend is if your trying to watch the sodium, carbs, and fats you should use a leaner meat-90% lean, and reduced fat cheeses. Try a reduced sodium salsa or make your own, and buy a low carb Bowtie noodle better yet a whole wheat one. This will in return reduce your calories as well. But for a quickie this is a great meal.

This recipe was SO delicious! And it was so easy to make. Me and my family only had 3 people eating it, and we even had leftovers! (But that's because I made to much pasta(:) I hope you try it and enjoy it!

I thought this was a recipe-site for "cooks". Open a can of this and a jar of that?!?! what happened to cooking for your family?!?!? Look at the fat grams.... the sodium?? You'd be better off taking them to McDonalds!!

Since my family does not like salsa or onions, I had to do some substituting. I chopped some onion fine and added it to the ground beef while it was browning. I omitted the green onion. I used tomato paste, thinned with a little water, in place of the salsa. I also added some of my own seasonings as well. It makes a quick, delicious meal.

I decided to use a cheese dip instead of soup and cooked the pasta with chicken broth for a little more flavor. Black Bean and Corn salsa and then topped it with the onions, cilantro, and topped it with Mexican cheese and baked it about 5 minutes to melt cheese. It was good.

My hubby is not a big fan of onions. I usually use the dehydrated ones since he doesn't mind the flavor. Add a can of corn to this dish to stretch it a little further. Tastes great!

if you're concerned about fat but still love cheese, why not save it as a garnish instead of as an ingredient? Then it can be right on top where you can enjoy it instead of disappearing into the food. If you want it melted and your serving has cooled by the time you add the cheese just put it in the microwave for a few seconds. Just remember, an ounce of regular cheese is at least 100 calories. Protein is not an issue in these dishes. The meat and/or beans supplies that.
