Add tasty bacon to make guacamole even more delicious! Perfect for topping burgers, chicken breasts or adding to your grilled cheese sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium avocados, sliced lengthwise, pitted and peeled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime or lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 4 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
  • Tortilla chips, as desired

Steps

    In medium bowl, coarsely mash avocados, lime juice, salt and hot sauce using potato masher, pastry blender or fork.
  • 2
    Stir in bacon and green onions. Garnish with additional bacon and green onions, if desired. Serve with tortilla chips.

    Try some of these flavorful additions: 1/2 cup cooked corn, 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, 1 clove finely chopped garlic or seeded chopped tomato.

    You can substitute 1 small, seeded finely chopped jalapeño chile or 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne) in place of the hot sauce.
