lb uncooked turkey breast slices, cut into 1-inch pieces

medium carrots, sliced (1 cup)

can (15.25 oz) whole kernel corn, drained

cup half-and-half

tablespoons cornstarch

Steps

  • 1 In 4- to 5-quart slow cooker, place turkey; sprinkle with garlic-pepper blend and salt. Add remaining ingredients except half-and-half and cornstarch; mix well.
  • 2 Cover; cook on Low heat setting 6 to 8 hours.
  • 3 In small bowl, mix half-and-half and cornstarch until smooth. Gradually stir into chowder. Increase heat setting to High. Cover; cook about 20 minutes longer, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

A pound of boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into one-inch pieces, can be used for the turkey breast.
