Deluxe Hot Chocolate Buffet

Serve the crowd with this slow-cooked yummy hot chocolate - made in a new way.

Ingredients

Hot Chocolate

oz unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped
1
cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
1
can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
2
quarts (8 cups) milk
1
tablespoon vanilla

Toppings

Whipped cream
Miniature marshmallows
Miniature semisweet chocolate chips
Peppermint candy sticks
Assorted liqueurs and flavored syrups
Crushed peppermints
  • 1 In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, mix unsweetened chocolate, chocolate chips and condensed milk. Cover; cook on High heat setting 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes or until chocolate is melted.
  • 2 Stir in 2 cups of the milk, using wire whisk, until smooth. Gradually stir in remaining 6 cups milk and the vanilla.
  • 3 Cover; cook on High heat 2 hours longer or until hot.
  • 4 Just before serving, stir mixture again with wire whisk. Reduce heat setting to Low. To serve, have guests ladle hot chocolate into cups and add desired Toppings.
