(18-oz.) pkg. Pillsbury™ Refrigerated Sugar Cookies

(8-oz.) pkg. chopped dates
1/2
cup sugar
2
eggs
1/3
cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Break up cookie dough into ungreased 8-inch square pan. Press dough in bottom of pan to form crust.
  2. 2 Bake at 350°F. for 12 to 17 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  3. 3 Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, combine dates, sugar and eggs; stir to combine. Cook over medium-low heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until mixture is very thick, stirring frequently to prevent scorching.
  4. 4 Remove crust from oven. Spread date mixture evenly over partially baked crust to within 1/4-inch of edges. Sprinkle with walnuts.
  5. 5 Return to oven; bake an additional 10 minutes. Cool 45 minutes or until completely cooled. Cut into bars.
