cup finely chopped cooked ham

(15-oz.) can Green Giant™ Extra Long Tender Green Asparagus Spears, drained

cup Progresso™ Plain Bread Crumbs

tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

tablespoons margarine or butter, melted

cup slivered almonds, toasted*

Directions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 10x6-inch or 8-inch square (1 1/2-quart) glass baking dish. Prepare potatoes as directed on package using water, 1/2 cup milk, 2 tablespoons margarine and salt.
  2. 2 Meanwhile, prepare cheese sauce with 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups milk and 1 tablespoon oil as directed on package. Stir in ham.
  3. 3 Spoon and spread mashed potatoes in greased baking dish. Top with asparagus spears. Spoon cheese sauce mixture over asparagus.
  4. 4 In small bowl, combine bread crumbs, cheese and 2 tablespoons margarine; mix well. Sprinkle over mixture in baking dish.
  5. 5 Bake at 350°F. for 16 to 22 minutes or until light golden brown. Sprinkle with almonds. Garnish with parsley.
