Ingredients

cup refrigerated or frozen fat-free egg product, thawed, or 1 egg
1/2
teaspoon onion salt

to 10 drops hot pepper sauce, if desired
1/4
cup all-purpose flour
3/4
cup crushed melba round snacks (about 18 snacks)

(8-oz.) pkg. fresh whole mushrooms
Olive oil nonstick cooking spray, if desired

Directions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 450°F. Line 15x10x1-inch baking pan with foil.
  2. 2 In small bowl, combine egg product, onion salt and hot pepper sauce; blend well. Place flour in resealable plastic bag or another small bowl. Place snack crumbs on sheet of waxed paper or in another small bowl.
  3. 3 Place mushrooms in bag with flour; shake to coat. For each mushroom, shake off excess flour. Dip each in egg product mixture; coat well with snack crumbs. Place in foil-lined pan. For crispier mushrooms, spray all sides of mushrooms with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. 4 Bake at 450°F. for 8 to 12 minutes or until hot and crisp.
