we used sloppy joe mix, onion, and ground beef. we began by following the instructions given by the recipe but found it to be very difficult & messy to get the rools to close properly. Instead, we cut the remaining rectangles into squares & folded over the dough. It worked out perfectly - so.. loks messy and scary ini the beginning but they come out of the oven looking perfect.

My family thought this was good. Wondering if the negative reviews are due to this not being like a typical sloppy joe. Its more like BBQ beef mixture. Its good, just not the tomato base sloppy joe that you think of. I used 1 tube of crescent dough and had a ton of beef mixture left over. In the future I will make 2 tubes. I added onion when I was browning the beef. I also didn't do the egg wash or sesame seeds. It didn't need them. Still good!

Made these but in a different variation. Just put cheese and hamburger inside and they were delicious!
My mom made some for my dad with salsa, hamburger and cheese inside.

These are absolutely delicious! We made them last night to try, after seeing them on a TV commercial... the only thing that we think really made it complete was we used Pillsbury Garlic Butter Crescents. Having that extra flavor just pulled it all together, very yummy I will definitely be making this again!
