I put the cheese side on the top when placing on my cookie sheet so that the cheese would melt down the hot dog and not puddle on the foil.
I also put the strips on as best as I could and then rearranged to get a prettier mummy.

I used Oscar Mayer Cheese dogs and then the kids had a choice of dipping the Mummy dogs into mustard or cheese dip. Very quick and easy!!

Well, these were cute, and a big hit at our Halloween party, but they were a bit of a pain to make! If I ever made them again, I would definitely not use the cheese. It was hard to wrap with the cheese sliding all over, and then even though I made sure to cover the dog/cheese (much more so than in the photo shown here!!), the cheese still oozed out all over. I only gave 3 stars, as they were very time consuming (definitely took me more than 30 mins, and I'm a long-time cook, not new to the kitchen) and the cheese oozing all over took away from the presentation.

These mummies were yummy! I used the seamless pastry dough instead of crescent rolls and were just as good. The kids had a fun time making them and gobbled them right up! Now, a fun Halloween tradition of ours!
