Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz.) pkg. fresh cranberries
  • 2 medium apples, chopped
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup golden or dark raisins
  • 1 tablespoon grated gingerroot
  • 1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 6 (4-oz.) decorative crocks or jars

Steps

    In large saucepan, combine all ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 40 to 45 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Cool at least 3 hours.

    Remove cinnamon stick. Spoon chutney into crocks; cover tightly. Store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
