We are a "nut free" household because of allergies. But I tried making this dip for New Years Eve and it was a huge hit! The only change I made was to sprinkle the rest of the grated Parmesan Cheese over the top instead of the nuts. Fabulous dip!

I added another can of crab and doubled the horseradish and mustard. Also sprinkled a little Old Bay seasoning on it.
It was a hit.
Before the additions, I thought it was a little bland, but still good. Hence the 4 star rating for the original recipe.

This dip is simply the best. When you can get a bunch of men to keep telling you how good it then in my opinion it is the best!

The taste of the recipe as stands is quite bland. I would suggest changing the green onion to leak and reversing the crab/asparagus ration (10.5 oz crab & 6 oz asparagus) as the asparagus dominates with its natural taste and therefore you loose the sweetness of the crab. The dip stays nice and thick so it is nice for spreading on crackers.

I have made this several times for various functions and it is always a winner. Nice change from the always present and over-done artichoke dip.

This was a fun and easy recipe we decided to try and it turned out excellent! It really has a great flavor. My husband doesn''t care too much for asparagus, so I didn''t tell him it had the asparagus in it, and he loved it! Great recipe for parties and/or holidays.
