I baked this in the toaster oven in a toaster oven-sized baking pan. I flipped the dumplings just before adding the sauce to bake the undersides - came out perfectly! The package for almond extract says "1/2 tsp. extract = 1 tablespoon almond liqueur" so I used 1/2 tsp. extract and the flavor was just right.

Wonderful! Tweaked a little, just for our tastes. Substituted vanilla for almond extract, added pecans for almonds, and just a few pats of butter on top.

This was wonderful. I coated the apple slices with cinnamon sugar. The almond flavor is very strong, which I loved. A little less almond flavoring if you don't like almond.

We enjoyed these after Easter dinner (a nice break from all the chocolate!). Next time, I may add a bit more cinnamon & sugar.

I'm wondering if the ingredients for Almond extract or Amaretto were correct. I chose to use extract and the almond flavor was overwhelming. If I make this recipe again, I'll try either 1 teaspoon extract or 1 Tablespoon of Amaretto. The almond flavor was so overpowering I couldn't taste the apple.

A friend gave me some green apples picked at an orchard and I went to pillsbury to find a recipe to make with them. I made an apple pie and then saw this recipe. Well it was very easy and didn''t take long to make - a few steps. I doubled the recipe because I had quite a few apples and several packages of crescent rolls. When the casserole was finished and my daughter and I tasted it all we could say was outrageous. This is truly awesome and is delicious hot or cold. It was so good that you just keep eating and eating it. I had to give some of it away to my friends and neighbors or we could have eaten the whole casseroles ourselves. I would give this 10 Stars and 10 Rating.

I have made these twice now and this recipe is so great that it is delicious hot or cold. The first time I made it I had to give some away or I would have eaten all of them myself. A+++++++
