Ingredients

1 - Pillsbury® Grands!® Flaky Layers Honey Butter Refrigerated Biscuits 16.3 oz (8 ct)
3/4
cup sweetened coconut flakes
1/2
cup brown sugar
1
tablespoon walnuts, toasted and chopped
A pinch of salt

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a 17 x 14 inch baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • 2 Mix the sweetened coconut flakes, brown sugar, walnuts, and salt. Set aside.
  • 3 Separate and roll each biscuit into a circle measuring approximately 5 inches in diameter.
  • 4 Working with one biscuit, dampen the edges with water and spread a spoonful of coconut mixture on one-half of the biscuit, leaving a centimeter at the edge. Fold over the other half of the biscuit and press gently to seal the turnover. Use your fingers or a fork to seal tightly.
  • 5 Repeat Step 4 with all biscuits.
  • 6 Place the 8 turnovers on the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • 7 Allow to cool for a few minutes and serve warm or at room temperature.

You can use any of your favorite nuts instead of walnuts. Raisins add another depth of sweetness to the filling.
