Ingredients

cup all-purpose flour
3/4
cup sugar
1/4
cup unsweetened cocoa

teaspoons instant coffee granules or crystals

teaspoon baking powder
1/8
teaspoon salt
1/3
cup margarine or butter, melted

teaspoons vanilla
1
egg, slightly beaten
1
teaspoon powdered sugar

Directions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 8-inch square pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. 2 In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, instant coffee, baking powder and salt; blend well. Add margarine, vanilla and egg; stir just to combine. Spread evenly in sprayed pan.
  3. 3 Bake at 350°F. for 18 minutes or until set. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into bars. Serve warm or cool.
