Classic Guacamole

Ingredients

large ripe avocados, peeled, pitted and mashed

cup finely chopped onion

tablespoons lemon juice

to 5 drops hot pepper sauce, if desired

to 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

teaspoon salt
Dash pepper

medium tomato, chopped

tablespoons finely chopped green chiles or 1 small chile, chopped
  • 1 In blender container or food processor bowl with metal blade, combine all ingredients except tomato and green chiles; cover and blend until smooth. Place in medium bowl.
  • 2 Stir in tomato and green chiles. Cover; refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving to blend flavors. Serve with tortilla or corn chips.
