I had a taste for a chicken pot pie but I didn't want to pay $4.00 for a small pie. I chose to lookup a good recipe online...I found this one, I had half a roast chicken left over from a previous meal, I bought the pie crust and frozen veggies and for about the same $4.00 made a truly scrumptious Full Size Pie. The recipe was easy, I did add some minced garlic & would probably add celery (as someone else mentioned)but it was delicious!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic easy recipe. Original version called for 1 1/2C broth and 2/3C milk, which makes it creamier I think and prefer this version. Also added 1/3C diced celery for a little flavor. Wonderful family meal.

My family loved this and it was very easy to make. I added some canned shoepeg corn and home canned green beans.
We will definitely make again.

This pot pie is simply delicious. The sauce is flavorful and perfectly creamy. It is easy to make, I've even made small versions which is great for my 4 year old, its his own personal dish! I've given this recipe out to many people and am so glad I stumbled across it when I did. Definitely give it a try!

Absolutely one of our very favorite dishes. Can't beat this on a cold winter night. Wouldn't change a thing.

Made a few tweaks that I thought really added to the depth of flavor. I added a splash of sherry, some garlic, diced potatoes (par boiled) and a few dashes of poultry seasoning. I would suggest adding more broth as it gets absorbed and is dry if you reheat it the next day. It's a very good recipe overall.

I love this recipe!!! Instead of using chicken broth, I use cream of chicken. It comes out nice and thick. I do use a little chicken broth for more flavor.
