Citrus Macadamia Nut Bread

cups all-purpose flour

cup granulated sugar

cup orange juice
1/2
cup vegetable oil
1
tablespoon grated lemon peel
1
tablespoon grated lime peel
2
teaspoons baking powder
1/2
teaspoon salt
2
eggs, beaten
1/2
cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
Powdered sugar, if desired

Directions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 9x5-inch loaf pan with shortening. In large bowl, mix all ingredients except nuts and powdered sugar with spoon until moistened. Stir in nuts. Pour into pan.
  2. 2 Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  3. 3 Cool bread in pan 10 minutes. Loosen sides of bread from pan; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before slicing.
