This was easy. I made one change and next time would make a couple more. I only used 1/4 cup of syrup in egg mixture and did not sprinkle with powder sugar. Next time I would still do only 1/4 cup syrup and I would do either 1 package of the frosting or dust with powder sugar. I would not use the 2 frosting containers - a bit much.

I made this using a scaled down version for 2. I used low fat cinnamon rolls, 4 eggs and half and half. I didn't have any nuts and left off the powdered sugar at the end. I used the 1 container of icing. I think 2 would make it too sweet for me. I did pour some pancake syrup into it as that's all I had on hand. It baked up deliciously. I think some crumbled crisp bacon would be a nice addition playing on the salty & sweet. It would have offset the sweetness. Will definitely have it for Sunday brunch for me & hubby again!

in place of whipping cream i used french vanilla creamer, what a treat this recipe was on christmas morning, and now going to make it for out of town visitors.

for kermy Cream (40% fat) (Heavy Whipping Cream) Substitute 1/3 cup melted butter and 2/3 cup whole milk for 1 cup whipping cream. This substitution can be used when not for whipping.

I made this for Christmas brunch and it was awesome! Everyone raved about it. I always made a French toast that you would have to soak over night. Never again, this one is soooo good!!!! It is so easy to make. I highly recommend this recipe. I did not add the additional maple syrup on top. Suzy

I just found this recipe online today. Would love to make it tonight, and bake it tomorrow morning. The only thing is I don't have any heavy cream. Do you think I might be able to subitute condensed milk for the cream? 2collector
