This is one more example of the incredible uses of Pillsbury Crexcent Dough. When making this 'pie crust' take care to pat the dough in the bottom of the pie pan as evenly as you can. Bake as directed in the recipe. When the crust has cooled for 10 minutes, melt 1/2 c. pineapple jelly or jam [or fruit of your choice] with 1 Tbsp. brandy & 1 tsp. butter. You can paint the crust all over the bottom and only up the sides 1-1 1/2". When the jel becomes 'tacky' after 15 min., proceed with the rest of the filling as listed. It gives a subtle flavor variation in each bite!

Made the coconut and my family raved over how good it was. I can hardly wait to make the strawberry and experiment with other fillings. I don't believe the coconut can be beat.

I've used Pillsbury crescent rolls for pie dough. It is an excellent substitute when you don't have the real thing. This recipe is delicious and will receive rave reviews from guests who drop by during the Holiday season. Try it with cherry pie filling instead of coconut. Cover pie filling with a Bisquick crumb crust for a wonderful pie.
