Expert Tips

They can be served for breakfast, brunch or as a dessert.

I like to serve them warm with a sprinkle of powdered sugar, but they can be eaten at room temperature as well.

Bacon should be cooked well so it is crispy not soft.

These are so quick and Good, I've been making them for years. Can't wait to try it w/bacon on top...next time. We also make it with cinnamon chips instead of the Choco-hazelnut spread or make 4 of each. Nice variety. If you use the chips, don't add too many or they won't all melt during the baking process.

These are two of my daughters favorite ingredients, I use Nutella brand and cook the bacon extra crispy! Great for an afterschool snack they are so easy to make, love 'em.

Shhhhh... I just made these and had FIVE of them. Seriously, so simple I can't believe how good these are. I had to force myself not to eat all 8 of them. The chocolate hazelnut spread and the bacon go together perfectly. The bacon crisps up nicely and adds just a hint of salt. I used center cut bacon and blotted the fat off really well. This will get made over and over.
