The filling didn't turn out as silky as the picture. It is definately sweet. I thought it would be a hit at Thanksgiving, but it wasn't. I TRIED.

It is a wonderfully decadent pie. I added extra pecans.

This just wasn't my cup of tea. I didn't like the chocolate and pecan flavors together. That said, everyone else did. However, it took much longer than the recipe said for the pudding top to set up. And it certainly didn't slice as nice as the picture. It was a little sticky. Because the pecan bottom didn't come all the way up the crust to bake, the crust bubbled out in a few spots and looked funny. Unlikely to make it again because of the time required.

This is a great pie! Warning to those who really aren't into sweet .... this is *very* sweet. Personally, I LOVE IT. My husband could only have a bite or two and he was done. I will definitely make it again after I'm done nursing my daughter. I found out the hard way that the intense chocolate of this pie is too much for her little system. :)

This pie lives up to the silky name. It is absolutely delicious and whenever I've made it it doesn't last long. It's delicious and perfect for any occasion.
