These are easy to make and taste great. I actually prefer dark chocolate, and used that to dip the edges in instead of the white. The only reason I only gave it 4 stars is that the pieces do break apart easily, so they do not transport well.

This receipe is easy to do. We make 20 dozen of them every year for our Christmas Bazaar. Because they are a chocolate shortbread base you can easily make the cookies. Store for a couple of days and then dip in the chocolate, drizzle and add the candies. We prefer to crush candy canes. Christmas just wouldn't be the same without these during the Holiday Season. I have made them with butter and with margerine. Butter is better.

Looks like a good recipe, but "Holiday" trees?? What "Holiday" do they represent? Thanksgiving? Hanukkah? Kwanza? Come on, people! They're Christmas trees!
