These were a big hit in my house! I did have a problem with the peppermint candy not sticking and when I tried to cut the bars all of the chocolate drizzle broke off. I used chocolate frosting instead and then topped that with the crushed candy.

I made three batches of these for a cookie exchange. My first batch I forgot to let the pudding mixture come to a boil but it still tastes good & I was better when spreading into a pan. If I make these again I will pour out the mixture just before it comes to a boil. Since I read the previous reviews, I also tried placing the crushed peppermint w/o the chocolate on them before going into the freezer. This seems to work fine....they are rich enough w/o the extra chocolate. Another trick...At first I used a knife to cut then I realized a PIZZA cutter might me easier & it was!

If I were to make these again (and I definitely will!) I will cut the bars and remove them from the pan before adding the chocolate drizzle and chopped candy canes. I thought they were difficult to cut with the topping already on the bars. I also think the topping would be less likely to fall off because of reduced handling.

very yummy!!! I am not a fan of dark chocolate so i used milk chocolate instead... they turned out great. The decorative chocolate on top doesn't stick very well, might as well leave it off.

This recipe was a huge hit with everyone who tried it! I will definitely add these to my holiday list of must-have treats! I'm not usually a big fan of dark chocolate, but followed the recipe and the combination was amazing!

It's a bit of work but worth the effort. They got rave reviews everywhere I took them.

This was aaaaamazing. The only thing we did differently was used milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet chips. It's very rich so try in smaller pieces.

This sounds like a yummy recipe, but normally I prefer milk chocolate. I'm sure it would work just as well as dark or semi-sweet.
