I know some people like bacon..but everything Ive noticed lately has bacon added to it. things, like chocolate pie, that should never contain bacon.....grrrrr eat this if you like it but I think its gross.

I see varying opinions on this pie. Has anyone actually made it? My husband eats Bacon & Peanut Butter sandwiches instead of BLT's. Sounds gross, but it is actually good. Looks like a pie right up Elvis' alley. I'm going to try it, for the interesting factor if nothing else.

These are a few of my favorite things. Looks odd at first w/ the bacon but I can't wait to try this. I've lost 80 lbs this past year so pie isn't a regular event but when I do I want something that tastes really good. Thanks Pillsbury!

Ugh, that is truly disgusting. Why would anyone eat this, let alone make it? I thought it was a joke when I first saw it.

I am sure this is delicious, however be sure to read the ingredient info. I think this is extremely unhealthy!

If you're on Weight Watchers or you think this is an unhealthy recipe, then by all means, don't make it! No one is twisting your arm. Personally, I think it looks yummy! I can see why Lora won her state fair pie competition!

Because most of this type of pies are very rich and overly fattening; try cutting the pie into 10 to 12 slices cutting down the size of the serving but not the flavor. Just adding an additional 2 slice per pie makes each serving less than 850 calories per slice. Save that extra piece for the next day to enjoy. You can also substitute the ingredients with skim or low fat products, but I think the fattening ingredients are what people are yearning for their palates.
