These were AWFUL! We could hardly taste the orange at all even though we even added more because we really like orange. And the bitterness of the dark chocolate left a bad aftertaste that was twinged with orange (that was the only time we could taste the orange).

How do you make the ones with Cinnamon & Sugar?

I'm sorry to have to amend this review. I finally made these last night following the recipe and it was not good. Amazed at the bitterness the orange rind and orange marmalade gave to the flavor. I would have added sugar to the cream cheese to make it sweeter. I will never rate something or review again without making the recipe. I wonder if it was the product? I used everything listed. Couldn't find anything labled "Sweet Marmalade" so bought King's Marmalade which is what I usually have. It's sweet enough. Anyway, not going to make this again. I'll stick to my cinnamon sugar version of this.

I have a similar type recipe that my mother devised for leftover pie dough scraps but it is more like a rugalah with cinnamon and sugar instead. We kids loved it more than the pie so when I grew up I started using Pillsbury pie crust specifically for this pastry! I was going to enter it but missed this year's entry period. I guess a lot of people use pie dough for pastries like this. I wonder if I would still be able to enter it in the future (it's rolled differently than this one too) or would it seem too similar now? Although I haven't made this one yet I think it sounds wonderful and can't wait to try it. Good luck in the contest.
