Ingredients

cup sugar

cup margarine or butter, softened

oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted

teaspoon vanilla

egg
2 1/4
cups all purpose flour
1/4
teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon baking soda
1/4
teaspoon cinnamon
1/2
cup chopped nuts

Directions

  1. 1 In large bowl, combine sugar, margarine, chocolate, vanilla and egg; blend well. Add all remaining ingredients; blend well. Divide dough in half. Shape each half into roll 2 inches in diameter. Wrap each roll in plastic wrap; refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
  2. 2 Heat oven to 400°F. Cut dough into 1/4-inch slices. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  3. 3 Bake at 400°F. for 6 to 8 minutes or until set. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Immediately remove from cookie sheets.
