I haven't tried this yet but I have tried the gingerbread cookie dough. It's a strong gingerbread taste so if you don't love gingerbread flavor, this will not appeal. It was too strong for me.
On the other hand, I'm looking at this recipe as more of a method. Now, take the sugar cookie dough, add candy cane and prepare the filling, and you're onto a winning combo. You could even do the cocoa, too. The possibilities are endless. :)

This flavor combination is one of my favorites and I am glad to find this. I will still look for a recipe from scratch but for now, this will work just fine. Thanks for making this available.
